Hi Paul, it is great to watch your latest seminar online. I was impressed with the perspective of Alexander the Great and how many similarities there are with the challenges in our modern globalising economy. Within JCI, as wel in my company, we are facing similar challenges to motivate and lead people to achieve higher goals than they ever could imagine. I liked a lot the idea how he used mentoring as a key succes factor. Tonight I am gonna write a plan to identify in what area's to look for a mentor. Thanks a lot. Anna

Hi Anna, great to see you open the dialogue here thumbs up. What i would suggest to you, is to proceed as follows:
1. Write you dream in the form of the letter as explained in the training.
2. Create a list of new habits you want/need to develop.
3. Put them in a sequential order as indicated in the Coachteam Layered Habit Model
4. Choose which (lower) habit you need to develop first.
5. Identify whom can be your mentor for this habit.
6. Contact him/her and ask if he/she wants to guide you through the proces.
7. Focus at least 3 times per day 5 minutes on your new habit during 30 consecutive days.
8. Once you feel you have been doing your new habit during minimal 30 consecutive days, move to your next habit and repeat the whole process.
9. Repeat this until you have built all reuired new habits to reach your goal and fulfull your dream
10. Write me a letter or post on this forum to share your success so that we can celebrate it smiling smiley
Take care and good luck, Paul

Dear Paul, thanks a lot, this is great to get some concrete steps. Yesterday evening I felt somewhat lost while trying to make my list, now I see I was trying to skip some steps and that is why I got confused. Now I am stil left with one concern ... I have several habits to develop, reading your steps it looks like it will take me more than a year to get there .... Anna

Hello,
I am new to this forum, liked it so thought to reply..
I think Alexander The Great has a real sense of taking right decision at right time,it's really very important, because if you have a real sense of taking decision then you don't need any experience even to proof yourself..
And no doubt he has that much of courage also,to prove his decisions..
I think strong determination, courage and strong believe in yourself is a key to develop leadership quality.smiling smiley

Regards,
Nelson
